Mewat Medical Educational & Human Welfare Society (MMEHWS) working for a ‘Noble Cause’ of “Gift of Sight”

Approximately 320 million people worldwide live with low vision and blindness, of these 50 million are blind. About 19 million blind live in India out of which 80% live in rural India. Majority of these people suffer from cataract problem and if they are not operated upon in time, they would become permanently blind

The people of the Mewat area are very poor and an average of cataract patients is about 20-25 in each village. Cataract is one of the leading causes of blindness among the people of Mewat

One can imagine the suffering, agony and plight of a person without eye-sight, when he is not only dependent upon others but his whole World is DARK. A simple cataract surgery of 10-15 minutes could change entire perception of life and zeal for living

As you are aware, real happiness comes by giving and doing something good to others and relieving some one from pain and suffering. We had the unique opportunity of experiencing the true happiness during the course of these eye camps

After a simple cataract surgery when one starts seeing own loved ones, there is flow of happiness in the eyes. We thank you to make this
happen in the lives of thousands through your support
